Luisa Freitas – Graphic Designer

I am an Illustrator, with roots in painting and Multimedia, currently working freelance.  Looking to further develop and evolve my practice I took an MA in Illustration and Animation which propelled my dabbling in 2D and 3D animation projects, as well as expanding on video editing.

Being passionate about developing projects with artistic nature, both in a global and local context, I have developed academic painting projects exhibited in Ustí nad Labem in Czech Republic in 2015, volunteered as Cultural Creative Developer for the local Prešov Community in Slovakia via EVS (European volunteering Service) in 2017, and worked as a Language and Arts tutor for children with cognitive disabilities in 2017/18 in my home country Portugal, before expanding my international practice and coming to the UK. Presently established in Coventry, I am an Associate Artist with Coventry Artspace, and a Front House Volunteer with the Herbert Art Gallery where I help organize and develop various community events involving families, individuals with disabilities and children.
